When the record drops…
Be the first to know
Raindrops on my window, falling like tears from the sky, on a cold and windy night, reflect my state of mind. Night and day fall away, like morning dew on a rose.
When my body’s failing, feeling tired every day. That’s when you remind me, to be grateful for another day.
It’s a new chapter and the end’s unwritten for me, for you. A clear horizon was long overdue: so bright, so blue. Brush it all off and start anew: you know, what to do.
Walking out in the light, why do they make us fight: to be free? Could be you, don’t you see?
You like to walk in the rain, with the wind on your face, feel the cold in your bones, ‘cos it makes you feel alive. You like to look at the view, when you’re sat on the train, while the folks next to you, sit and stare at their phones.
Like the sun casts a shadow on the moon, so the rain falls gently over you.
Contemplations, philosophies, dancing in my head. Will the truth be revealed, who knows? Deep inside kaleidoscopic colours swirl. What they say or mean, who knows?
We all make mistakes, we all get it wrong. But that’s what it takes, to make you strong.
A little something to take the edge off, why don’t you join me at the bar? Let’s raise a toast to perseverance, we made it through, we’ve come this far.
Another family living on the street, trying to find enough food to eat.
Hopes and dreams lying in the dust, tell me who they’ve got left to trust?
I’ve been sailing through seas of time, the storms are wild, the waves are high. Finally I see that golden sand, feel the earth in my hand.
I pass you by in the shopping aisle, I don’t know you but you catch my eye, we seem to remember, from another life.
I’ve been looking for some method of distraction, to take my mind off of you. Can’t seem to shake away this feeling, those premonitions might be true.
Time just seems to melt away with you. Doesn’t seem to matter what we do.
